November is almost here! Dr. Rhonda Hogan, the number one pediatric dentist in Suwannee, GA, and her team are ready to celebrate National Brush Your Teeth Day on November 1st, 2022. As we enter the holiday season, our office likes to start a little early with this important day. This year, to commemorate National Brush Your Teeth Day properly, we put together a list of ways you too can celebrate by making brushing even more fun!
Suwannee Pediatric Dentistry Tip #1:
Music has a way of making everything more fun. Brushing your teeth is no exception. Find a song that is around 2 minutes and 30 seconds and play it while you brush! You can move to the rhythm as you clean the food off each tooth. Not sure what song to pick? A lot of brushing songs already exist too! Just remember to make sure it’s something fun that you won’t get tired of any time soon!
Suwannee Pediatric Dentistry Tip #2:
Establishing a routine is key to ensuring you get things done. We recommend brushing your teeth as soon as you wake up and once again before bed. Sometimes it can be easy to forget to brush at the end of a long day, but we promise that if you make a habit of brushing before you lay down, it won’t take long for you to get used to it. Besides, who doesn’t love going to bed with teeth that feel clean?
Suwannee Pediatric Dentistry Tip #3:
Everyone needs to brush their teeth twice a day, so why not do it together? Maybe that means a sibling, or your parents, but it creates accountability for everyone when it’s done together. When one person forgets, the other can remember! It might not always work out with the timing, but we promise it’s worthwhile to have a good brushing buddy!
